More garage nostalgia.
I already posted something by The Dirtbombs awhile back. Let’s wind back the clock a little. Sometimes, cheap guitars and three chords simply are the best way. Not everything The Gories did was as immediate or powerful as this, and they often verged on darker, minor-key Stooges-esque punk (fitting, considering their Detroit origins) instead of the more classic garage vibe of ‘Nitroglycerine’, but you gotta admit, with songs like this one here, they wrote the book for many subsequent garage revivalists. The Strokes and Jet might’ve been better if they’d sounded a bit like The Gories.
