#65. Harry Mudie & King Tubby – ‘Dub With A Difference’ (1975)

Moody Mudie Monday heh heh.

Here is, shall we say, one of the less conventionally dubby tracks from Harry Mudie and King Tubby’s first In Dub Conference collab album. I had this album on today and I picked this particular track out over something like ‘World Dub Conference’ or ‘Madhouse Dub’ because it’s more than just a reggae track. It’s an early-ish dub track that goes beyond just being reggae minus the vocals plus a few tonnes of cavernous reverb – that mysterious string synth line brings to mind all kinds of non-Jamaican things, don’t you think?
