#53. Augustus Pablo -‘East of the River Nile’ (1977)

Melodica master’s moves on the map.

It’s that much-loved melodica-wielding cult hero from deep in the dub reggae canon, perhaps better known for his excellent collaborations with King Tubby and for guesting with key dub/reggae players like Horace Andy, Lee “Scratch” Perry and Hugh Mundell, and later on in his too-short life with a variety of next-generation artists and fans of his playing, like Mad Professor, and even Primal Scream.
