More about the author or something

Well look, hi, I’m James. I write about new music I’m listening to on this blog when I have the time. My author name is Jon Spaceman because I when I started writing here I was doing some copy for a large company in Melbourne that might’ve frowned upon me having a somewhat visible blog about ‘drug devil music’ or whatever you want to call it.

Anyway, I’m 23, I’m still studying fulltime for some reason, I don’t have any pets and I perform in two small-time bands called The Creeping Bam and Van Nostrum. My late grandmother used to say I looked like Ian Thorpe but I disagree.

Sometimes I just don’t have the time to attend to Can You Get To That? because I’ve often got a lot on, so I apologise to some of the artists from around the world that I have emailed me in the past and not been featured. Largely thanks to the small but significant coverage that this blog has received in the past year or so, I now write for several other publications, some about music and some about other stuff, and I’m currently writing a thesis concerning Margaret Archer’s critical realist critique of the key ideas in Pierre Bourdieu’s Outline of a Theory of Practice, so some weeks have zero time to review things that I want to review, or I hit a point where the last thing I want to do with my leisure time is write more.

So if I haven’t got to you, it’s more likely due to my lack of time at the moment than anything else.

Anyway, if you do have something to submit, by all means still do, I’ll hopefully get to it eventually if it’s my sort of thing.

for submissions or enquires about Can You Get To That? message can.you.get.to.that3000@gmail.com and for anything else, message jamespilbrow3000@gmail.com

Peace and Love,

Spaceman
